In Japan, the Akita is famous as the national dog due to the tear-jerking movie Tadanori. It is the only large dog designated as a national natural monument in Japan. The reason for its popularity is its loyal and honest character and handsome appearance. In order to bring in purebred Japanese Akitas, the breeders carefully selected by the kennel traveled 12,000 kilometers across the ocean to Canada. These dogs are not "breeding dogs" in the traditional sense, but carefully selected breeders. In order to provide them with the best possible living conditions and legal breeding credentials, we decided to move out of the city and come live with the dogs on the farm.
